In this post I’ll share my top picks and stores for statement earrings and rings, but before we get into that I wanted to give a little fashion advice. Although I’m not really into statement necklaces, they really are the simplest way to not only dress-up your look, but also switch up your look as well. You could wear a series of dresses with the same statement necklace and I guarantee it’ll look different every time. That’s most likely because statement necklaces have a lot going on, hence the word…statement. But no really, they’re bigger and cover a larger area of the body so they’re bound to grab someone’s attention.

There are two things in life that one should not live without... one is fashion and the other is food! Read all about my wonderful brand collaboration with these fabulous women!I was approached by my co worker for this brand collaboration, her name is Jess, and she's amazing! Currently she's running a gluten-free blog that has my tubby self craving her gluten-free recipes! She truly goes against the stereotypical belief that gluten-free food can't be good, because from what I've seen and heard about her recipes, gluten-free is the it thing!I have always loved fashion. The creativity, the originality and the way that it can carry a conversation. Similarly, I feel the same way about food. Coming from a Latin family, food is most definitely the center of almost every conversation we have! So why not combine the two! Start a conversation that will last for hours, days, years, it's only right!For this brand collaboration I had the pleasure of meeting two entrepreneurial women, Merica and Sufia! Merica, designer of eco-friendly knitwear that can easily transition from the comfort of your couch to the middle of the dance floor. I love fabric that breathes and makes me feel as if I'm not wearing much! Her knitwear does just that, I could of relaxed in it for hours! Now although my taste buds can't handle much hot sauce, I was so eager to meet Sufia of Silly Chilly Hotsauce! Her go-getter attitude is truly inspiring! I just love me some determined women!WE set out for a beautiful lunch feast in Van Vorst Park! Turned one too many heads and truly just enjoyed each other's company! I'm looking forward to the next time I can meet up with these ladies!Whether is hot sauce, knitwear or a gluten-free recipe you just have to try, check out what these ladies are up to! Self: What color condiment would you like to be today? Other self: mustard. I like to take risks, especially fashion risks! Who wants to color inside the lines when you can create a colorful, crazy out of the box masterpiece! The color featured in my current masterpiece is mustard, because why not?! I mean come on.... who wouldn't want to look like this.
I'm pretty infamous for one color looks, I've done powdered blue, soft pink, yellow, navy, purple and more! It's fun and it really challenges my style to have to create a look that is one color, but isn't overwhelming or tacky!
This whole ensemble started with a tiny piece of recycled clothing. I stumbled across the instagram page RAGD LA (thanks to a certain celebrity) and fell in love with the concept. They take old clothes and create new pieces with it, hence (ragd)la. One man's trash is another man's treasure. Simple, yet clever! I saw this mustard tube top and had to have it. Loveeee that it's made out of a knit sweater type material and I thought it'd be perfect for fall!After the top came in the mail I knew I wanted to create a single color look, so I went on a mission for the perfect pant, skirt, romper or something to match my top. I stumbled across yet another small business page called SHE THE COLLECTION. Although this beautiful romper took quite some time to get to me, I am so happy that I purchased it. It was perfect for the look. Paired this set with my mustard heels, a mustard duster and luis crossbody and I was set! What do you think of my one colored outfit?
