Beauty Babble: My 2019 fall favorites
/I’ve recently realized that a girl can never have too many lipsticks OR beauty products for that matter! I’m back on my Ipsy game y’all, so that means more beauty reviews and content on KelsleyNicole.com. This month we’re focusing on Fenty and fragrance.
Beauty – skincare, haircare, cosmetics and smell good stuff. Babble- my stream of consciousness style rant about why I love these products. The best way I can breakdown what these posts are all about. Every other month or so I’ll be sharing my new, or old, favorite beauty products. So if you’re looking for something to purchase, be sure to read this first in case it’s absolutely horrible; I’ll be your guinea piglet (the cuter version of a pig)!
First up, Fenty beauty! We all know that Rihanna has truly cornered the beauty market in a whole new way especially for WOC! I was already obsessed with the finish on the matte foundation so I was dying to try the Dewey one for the colder months. the coverage is definitely medium but it’s build-able. TIP: Let the first layer dry before going back and applying the second. What I really love about it is the semi-matte finish it leaves. My skin looks so healthy but with good coverage. While shopping for the foundation I stumbled across her bronzer and took that too! It’s the perfect shade for what I was looking for. The best way I could describe it is a warm blush, very subtle and brings life back into my face.
I always get this Estée Lauder advances night repair serum (free with other purchases) but it wasn’t until Heygorjess mentioned it in her stories that I started to use it more consistently! Great boost of moisture for my skin and I’m starting to see my acne scars heal quickly! TIP: Warm it up in your hands so it’s easier to spread across the face and neck. This serum has the consistency of snot (lol sorry) so it needs a little help to move around.
Rizlash by Sheriza is new to the beauty space but I’m already in love! I haven’t found a pair of lashes that give me a natural, individual lashes look. Which is something I’ve been looking for on days where I don’t want to fully beat my face but want my eyes to look nice! Little trick I realized for those with bigger almond eyes is to not start the lash too close to the tear duct. My lashes look better 3/4 of the way on.
Because I’m happy! This fragrance by Clinique is a throwback for me but I’m so glad I got it for my mom for her bday and this little travel size one was a free perk hahaha. It smells delicious, airy with a hint of citrus and it really brightens my mood when I get a whiff!
And that’s all folks for this months beauty favs! Is there something you’re looking for a review on? Drop it in the comments below!
