The perfect Holiday dresses

Counting down, we are 6 days away from Christmas! So if you haven't figured out your last minute looks for this special day or the last minute parties then I have two of the most perfect holiday dresses for you!*Sings* it's the most wonderful timeeeeeee of the year!! I absolutely love the holiday season. It has to be one of the best seasons for me, right next to my birthday of course. I love Christmas music, movies, the trees, the lights, the candy and of course the holiday looks! December is my month to play dress up (which I love doing), because of all the events that lead up to NYE!I will admit though, finding something that fits well, is festive, priced well, and every Sally, Jane and Sarah haven't already snagged from the stores can be difficult. So for this holiday season, I shopped on Rent The Runway! They always have new items and are perfect for seasons like this when you need multiple outfits!Fell in love would be a understatement for how I feel about these two dresses. They are both very Christamsey and could be used for whatever type of Holiday setting that you'll be in."My presence is a present," so I decided to dress up as gift. L O L 😂 I really do make myself laugh sometimes! But no seriously, doesn't this dress look like an extravagant Christmas bow! Per-son-al-ity! I paired it with a subtle and sheer white long sleeve shirt to add to the Christmas vibes! And to take it all the way over the top, I threw on my black velvet bow heels! Knit dresses are a gift from God. I almost took a nap in the dress! It was so comfortable and the fit was just right. Slim enough to create shape, but not so tight that you can see very detail on my body! I'm also becoming a very big fan of color blocking; being able to wear multiple colors in one piece of clothing sounds like a dream! The maxi length dress of this dress made it simple to pair my black patent leather heels with! I am in love with this look and had a very hard time giving this dress back!

What's your favorite part about the holiday season?Xx,

Let's think PINK

When you see pink what do you think of? I think of cotton candy, Chanel, my childhood ambitions and so on! And although I swear I no longer love the color pink, I can't help that it continues to interject itself into my life. Who can live without pink? let's be honest, no one! T H I N K P I N K.If you know me, you know that I'm not the biggest fan of the color PINK! Although this is very much true, I can't help but gravitate towards pink articles of clothing. Whether it's shoes, jackets, dresses, jewelry etc, I have a thing for pink when it comes to my wardrobe! My cousin and part-time stylist, Carmelo introduced me to this beautiful faux leather and shearling by Opening Ceremony! I mean look at it, how could you not fall in love with the color pink after seeing this? It's reversible too!Carmelo's fashion choices for this look stemmed from the idea of a versatile look that's both cozy and fashion-conscious! And I couldn't agree more with his decision.  I love how comfortable this look is! I mean, joggers a turtleneck and an oversized coat with a beanie! All the comfort that I could need! Goes to show that fashion doesn't always have to be over the top, you can still look cute while being comfy! I sure did. And I was warm too which is always a good thing!Let me know in the comments below, how do you feel about the color pink?Photographed in Lucky Rolls in Englewood, NJ

November Fashion revolves around Food

When I think of November I think of beautiful and colorful leaves, scarfs/hats and most importantly...food. The feast that I wait for all year, Thanksgiving! But my next most important thought is finding outfits that will cater to  that feeling that makes you think you are going to explode after picking up your 3rd plate of food!I like to believe that there is always something to be thankful for. No matter what may not be going your way, what issues are on the horizon or realizing that the year is almost over and you only accomplished 2 out of the 23 goals you set! Be thankful! Thankful to be alive and in good health, thankful for the people that love you and even the ones that don't! Thankful, that God has allowed you to see another minute on this earth. Whatever it may be, just be thankful! My promise to myself from this day forward is to always find something to thank God for even if it "seems" like everything is going wrong! One out of the several thousands of things that I'm thankful for this year is this space and the people that constantly help me improve it! I love blogging, I love creating new ideas, outfits, and more! I love staying up late at night with my notebook planning out the next month and what I want to showcase here! It's exciting and has helped me grow in ways I didn't think I needed to. So for today's post I'm going to focus on how thankful I was that this outfit exudes comfort in a casual yet stylish way, because God knows we all like to be cute on Thanksgiving, but it's not cute when you're busting out of your pants! Details down below!I pray that you and your family have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

F is for Fall Fur

You know, I'm a spring baby and although I'd rather be hot than cold I need the seasons to make up their minds. I was ready to bring out my fall fur and the sun just wanted to steal my shine, nonetheless  I made it work! When faced with the challenge of trying to make a fall outfit when it's still 75+ degrees, I try to pull on specific items from both seasons! In the fall one item that is specific to that season is FUR, and for spring it's rompers (summer too). While pursuing around online late one night, I stumbled across Rent The Runway's page. Scrolled through the rompers and jumpsuits section and fell in love with this DVF romper. It's different, funky, imperfect yet fashionable! The two toned aspect of the romper is what really sold me; it kind of reminded me of a DIY top I made for NYFW last year. And although it's a romper (which is usually worn in during the warmer seasons), I feel that the colors worked perfect for the Fall.I always need a statement color for my outfits, I'm not the biggest fan of being match-y match-y, unless of course I'm creating a single color outfit, and in that case I like to be super match-y and extra! So when I was scrolling through the handbags tab on RTR and saw the color of this Rebecca Minkoff bag, which was almost exact to a Dolce&Gabbana lipstick of mine; I just knew it was meant to be! Paired with some Kanye-sque peep toe booties and I was done!Quick side note about Rent the Runway, I always thought the concept of this brand was ingenious but I never had too many occasions in which I needed a gown. So when the company started to expand into everyday clothes, handbags, jewelry and more I knew we would be long term friends. Being able to rotate looks like clockwork is something I'm a big fan of, and I'm able to save my coins because I'm not paying designer dollars for these items! Thank you RTR, I appreciate you!
