I love getting new products! Adding to my hair product collection...

New hair productsIf you couldn't tell from my product junkie videos, I love new hair products. It is always fun to experiment and see what will work differently for your hair.  A  few weeks ago I finished up my last bottle of WEN and decided it was time to try something new, my hair was just getting too used to the product and it needed something different. Now my goal for the new products I wanted to buy was to help my hair so that I would be able to do wash and go's regularly. As well as MOISTURIZE, MOISTURIZE MOISTURIZE. My hair can never get enough moisture, it's always thirsty! So I did my research on youtube and google and found two product lines that I was eager to try. The first was Aussie's Moist Conditioner. Now I heard about this conditioner a few years back when I saw it on Alyssa Forever's Youtube Channel and thought to myself, "I'm sure it 's a great product but I don't think it will be able to do anything special for my hair." My doubt came from my past experiences with wash and go's.IMG_5476All natural hair gals dream of the day when they will be able to find a wash and go routine that works for them, so that they can cut down on the styling time for their hair. I've have tried several brands for my wash and go with not that much success. All of the doubt that I had about the Aussie conditioner quickly went out the window the minute it touched my hair. I promise on everything it truly does exactly what it says it will do, Moisturizes you curls and brings life back into them. While I was in the shower I could see the definition in my curls and could instantly feel a change with the dryness of my hair after just 1 wash. I'm convincing my mother to try it so that we can just both stock up and buy a few bottles at a time. This stuff is great, no but seriously, like no lie, it's AH-MAZING!The second product I decided to give a try was the As I am Co-wash, Leave in and Curling Jelly. My roommate is a big fan of this product line and I've heard good things about them. Initially I was more excited to try this product than the Aussie conditioner!IMG_5478Now let me tell you, the co-wash is wonderful, the leave in is great, but I did have some trouble with the curling jelly. You see my hair has become very accustomed to twist outs and styling creams, so it wasn't very receptive to the jelly or the wash and go at first. When I tried the jelly I followed the instructions to the T, sat under a hooded dryer for about half and hour then I let my hair air dry as much as possible before I went to sleep. When I woke up in the morning my hair was a disaster. It may have been because I was a little heavy handed with the jelly, but I was just trying to insure than I didn't have frizz, especially not on the first day.As far as the curl definition, the product didn't come threw. My curls stayed in the same exact position they were when I came out the shower, (fyi, I don't get much shrinkage and when I come out the shower certain areas are wavy instead of curly) so I pretty much had hard waves in the front and crunchy, yet somewhat frizzy curls in the back.I'm not one to give up, so I'm glad I gave myself enough time to shower again because I quickly rinsed the jelly off with water, reapplied the moist conditioner and leave in and tried again. This time I had much better success because I didn't section off my hair to apply the jelly and I applied my shea moisture cream after to soften the curls. So far so good, I've been doing wash and go's for the past week and I think I'm starting to get the hang of it. As far as my new products, I'm falling in love with them every day. Xoxo, Kelsley Broomfield
